About this site

Asobimiru started in Japanese as a crowd calendar for families. The English pages are for visitors to Japan.

Who we are

Asobimiru is run by the Asobimiru Editorial Team.

We write from the point of view of families who visit theme parks, aquariums and zoos with children.

We are not part of any park, and no park has paid us to write a page.

How we check facts

1. We read each park's official website for opening hours, prices and rules.
2. We write the date we checked in the "Sources and last checked" box on each page.
3. If the official website does not say something, we do not guess.
4. Crowd information is a forecast based on official prices, opening hours, Japanese holidays and school breaks. It is not a count of real visitors.
5. Text marked "Our take" is our own opinion, not official information.

Updates and mistakes

We check the official websites at least once a month and update the pages.

If you find a wrong price or opening time, please tell us through Contact. We check the official information first, then fix the page.
